I recently visited my all time favorite spot when I was a kid, Mock Springs. Its located in a small town in Hawkinsville GA on Mock Springs Rd. It’s a crystal clear water spring. The water temperature is around 68 degrees. It was cold but when the sun is beaming down on you I find it rather refreshing! It’s a fun family place to relax on a hot summer day. It has a dock built in the middle of the spring and I noticed kids were playing games on it such as “king of the dock.” It is now under new management from a local family. Very friendly staff! They have tubes that you can rent for the day so I took advantage of that and floated around. The admission to get in and swim was only $3. They also sell drinks and food, but my favorite of all is watermelon! They have picnic tables, and a volleyball net to enjoy while you’re out of the water. I am very pleased that I got to share this place with my daughter. The view was breathtaking! If you’re looking for a cheap get-a-way for you and your family I would highly recommend Mock Springs.
